Established Aquateam in 1984 together with three colleagues from the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). Managing Director of Aquateam from 1987 to August 2011. Previous experience from NIVA (7 years), the Norwegian Research Council's Program for Operation of WWTPs (2 years) and the regional service company for WWTP operation, Avløpssambandet Nordre Øyeren (3 years). International expert on sludge (biosolids) and organic waste management with about 30 publications in conference proceedings or refereed scientific journals. He has more than 40 years of experience from project management, desk studies, process design, plant operation, training and R&D within municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and handling of sludges and organic wastes. Responsible for Aquateam's activities in Central Europe (mainly Poland) since 1990 and also for network activities as board member of Clean Water Norway, Green Business Norway and Vannforsk. Norwegian member of the CEN committee on sludge (CEN TC 308) and representing Aquateam in the European Water Technology Platform (WssTP). He has been an evaluator of research proposals for the EU Commission and for the Norwegian Research Council since the beginning of the nineties.
